I’ve never met a person that doesn’t want good health, strong relationships, and abundant living.[featured-image single_newwindow=”false” alt=”Spiritual Warfare”]Image from Dollar Photo Club Designed in Canva[/featured-image]
However, take a look around. Abundant life is pretty hard to find these days. It is my contention that the enemy of our souls wants to use poor health to make us ineffective for kingdom work, and rob us of the abundant life that’s rightfully ours.
We must understand that not every thought is your own…..
The secret to finding the abundant life is spiritual warfare. This information on spiritual warfare and health has the power to set you free. But you must press through the temptation to dismiss it.[featured-image single_newwindow=”false” alt=”Abundant Life and Health”]Image from Dollar Photo Club Created in Canva[/featured-image]
Maybe you’ve read Part 1 of this series and are beginning to think: “This guy is some kind of a zealot. I have better things to do than read this.” I can assure you; I am not. The enemy wants you to think that way. Don’t hand him the victory. Push through the opposition…..[callout]To reveal the bible verses, read from your browser and hover over the verse reference.[/callout]
“I have come that they might have life and have it abundantly” (John 10:10) For many, these are some of the most cherished words Jesus ever spoke. They continue to minister to me daily. They give me motivation to get out of bed in the morning.[featured-image single_newwindow=”false” alt=”Spiritual Warfare and Health”]Image from Dollar Photo Club Created in Canva[/featured-image]
I hope they do the same for you. However, they come with a warning: “The enemy has come to steal, kill and destroy but…” Did you know that these words are the first half of John 10:10? Jesus breathed these two statements in the same breath! Why?….Continue reading
“I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10) Abundant life, isn’t that what we all want? But, how should we define the abundant life?[featured-image single_newwindow=”false” alt=”Abundant Life”]Image from Dollar Photo Club Created in Canva[/featured-image]
As Americans, we’ve come to define the abundant life as the Madison Avenue lifestyle. Our culture tells us we deserve a big house with a view, an expensive import in the driveway and a fat 401k. If we’re honest with ourselves, deep down we know this is not abundant living….Continue reading
In the last post we talked about how some people are stretching the definition of grace to mean that there are no consequences to sin. This is of course untrue.[featured-image single_newwindow=”false” alt=”Amazing Grace License to sin?”]Image from Dollar Photo Club Created in Canva[/featured-image]
As Christians, we should all be very thankful for God’s grace. However, I’ve found there is some confusion surrounding what grace actually is. This confusion may be leading people to use God’s grace as license to sin, and participate in some very unhealthy behaviors. Unhealthy in spirit, soul, and body…..
Could it be that our spiritual condition is the most important component of our physical health?[featured-image single_newwindow=”false” alt=”Can Sin Cause Disease”]Image from Dollar Photo Club Created in Canva[/featured-image]
Can sin cause disease? What if it were true? Could this be the breakthrough many people have been searching for? What if the things we’ve been doing to pursue health such as: eating right, and exercise, were trumped by our spiritual practices?Continue reading
We have science, and we have the bible. We’ve been told that science is based of observable evidence (the facts). And that the bible is a bunch of old stories that must be taken on blind faith. There is no common ground. We must choose one over the other.[featured-image single_newwindow=”false” alt=”Spirit-Mind-Body connection”]Image from Shutterstock Created in Canva[/featured-image]
The only trouble with these conclusions is that they’re false. The bible has stood the test of time and held up to untold scientific scrutiny. It continues to be the number one best selling book of all time. There’s good reason for this. The bible is the inspired word of God, and thus useful for instruction. (2 Timothy 3:16)
Why do I mention this? Because the bible has plenty to say about the spirit-mind-body connection…..Continue reading
Real health is much more than what most people think. Real health is not simply the absence of disease.[featured-image single_newwindow=”false” alt=”Real Health”]Image from Shutterstock Created in Canva[/featured-image]
Many people believe something like this: “I’m basically a healthy person. I haven’t been to the doctor in I don’t know know long. Sure, I’m a little down on energy in the mornings… and the afternoon but nothing a couple cups of FiveBucks coffee can’t take care of.” I would suggest that that, is not a state of real health…..Continue reading
One of the most powerful things we can do to improve our health is offer ourselves forgiveness.[featured-image single_newwindow=”false” alt=”Forgive Yourself”]Image from Shutterstock Created in Canva[/featured-image]
Few things will drain our energy more quickly, than living under the crippling beliefs of shame, condemnation, and guilt.…..
The spirit is not easily defined.[featured-image single_newwindow=”false” alt=”Spiritual Health is foundational”]Image from Shutterstock, created in Canva[/featured-image]
But, define is we must if we’re going to understand holistic health…..
